Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Garland Dancers
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival stages a free presentation prior to its evening plays. It takes place on an outdoor stage adjacent to the indoor theaters. Called The Green Show, a different group, usually a music or dance ensemble, performs each night. Yesterday morning this group of lovely ladies, called Wild Rose Garland, was rehearsing for last night's show. They hail from Portland and feature a colorful and lilting form of traditional English Dancing. http://wildrosegarland.org
