Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Author Sighting
Local author Richard W. Blide, along with his wife Patti, posts a flyer announcing the publication of his latest book. The kiosk on the downtown plaza serves as a community bulletin board for anyone wishing to advertise a concert, announce an event, or otherwise get the word out about any of the countless activities going on around town. Mr. Blide, a retired physician originally from Rochester, NY, has written a Science Fiction book called,"Alien Threat", which is available at Amazon.
