Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

A Taste of Ashland
Every year, the Ashland Gallery Association holds a fundraiser that features local restaurants and wineries providing samples in various art venues around town. Today and tomorrow, people can buy a ticket (which comes with an empty wine glass) that will allow them to visit galleries to look at art and partake of delicious offerings of food and drink. In its 24th year, the event draws visitors from near and far, who take a walking tour of the galleries or avail themselves to the shuttle service provided by Allaboard Trolley Tours. This couple from Grants Pass, OR just boarded the trolley at 4th and A Street in the railroad district for a ride back to the center of town. http://atasteofashland.com
