Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Saturday Market
Ashland has two growers market days - one on Tuesday next to the Armory and another Saturdays downtown on one closed-off block of Oak Street. Many if not most of the farmers bring organically produced produce to sell. There are bakery items, pottery and other craft-related pieces offered as well. The venue also provides as a meeting place for locals as well as out-of-town visitors to experience another aspect of Life in Ashland.
