Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Portland Trip
Over the weekend my wife and I visited Portland, Oregon - about a 5 hour drive north of Ashland. For a relatively small city, Portland has a lot going on - Great restaurants, an incredible city park including a zoo, a Japanese garden, an amazing rose garden (Portland is called the Rose City for good reason), a botanical garden, tennis courts and walking trails. OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry) is wonderful, as is much of the downtown architecture and preponderance of bungalow-style homes throughout the city.
