Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

The Air That We Breathe
Wildfires throughout Oregon and Northern California have continued to impact our air quality for over a month now. In an previous photo I posted, the morning sun appeared as a red ball suspended over the horizon. These two bicyclers riding by are another illustration of how bad the air has been - people wearing masks is not an uncommon sight. Despite their wary expressions at a stranger taking their picture, I was able to introduce myself to the couple, Jamshed and Brittany, who graciously and happily assented to being part of this blog.
