Generosity in Ashland

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to try out one of the more recent Sony full-frame cameras, thanks to the generosity of renowned local photographer extraordinaire Chris Briscoe.  Chris lent me his Sony A7ll with a 24-70mm Zeiss lens for a day of shooting. The first subject(s) to catch my eye was this group of volunteers chopping and sawing logs at the Jackson County Fuel Committee (JCFC) lot on Valley View Road.  Donated fallen trees are converted into firewood for low-income residents to provide them with heat during the winter months.  Basically a year-round operation, the wood is collected and stockpiled for distribution when needed, again entirely volunteer and private-donation driven.  http://jcfuel.weebly.com/about.html

Check out Chris Briscoe's amazing portfolio of work at  http://chrisbriscoe.com/  Thanks, Chris!
