Story Wall

The annual Ashland Independent Film Festival http://ashlandfilm.org/ opened Thursday.  One of the filmmakers whose film is being shown was at Houston's Custom Framing & Fine Art, giving people the opportunity to have their family's immigration story transcribed on the gallery wall.  The filmmaker, Theo Rigby, is making a series of documentary films about the immigrant experience in America.  This event at the gallery enables him to meet and interact with filmgoers and illustrate what his films are about.  Two of the people working with Theo, artist Anthony Week, and Kate McClean were present to collect stories and put them on the wall.  The website: www.Immigrant-Nation.com
