A Travel Destination

Ashland is a popular destination for travelers of all types.  The Oregon Shakespeare Festival attracts over 400,000 playgoers each year.  Hikers trekking the 2,663 mile long Pacific Crest Trail that passes nearby often stop here.  Other recreational venues such as river rafting, mountain biking and skiing & snowboarding bring people to the area and others come as a respite from the more hectic pace of places like San Francisco and Seattle.  The Ashland Hostel provides a hospitable, affordable place for visitors to stay.

Today's Tuesday/Tunesday music video features The Brothers Four, former fraternity members from the University of Washington who scored a #2 spot in the pop charts in 1960 with this song, "Greenfields".   The group was part of a folk movement of the late '50's, early '60's that was soon displaced by the Beatles-led British invasion.  This performance is identified as being from Dutch television, probably around the time the song was released.
