This is a common sight in this town; dogs staring forlornly at a building entrance waiting for their owner to return. It may be a market, the hardware store, the post office, or a coffee house into which their human has disappeared. The dog waits unattended outside the establishment or sequestered in a vehicle nearby, keeping a diligent, expectant watch.
