An Appetite for Books

During lunchtime at a local restaurant, the son of one of the employees was deeply absorbed in a book, waiting for his mother to end her shift.  The scene recalled an earlier era and an artist/illustrator whose work I greatly admire;  Norman Rockwell.  The boy's mother says the 3rd-grader is a voracious reader and carries a book with him wherever he goes--in this case one of the "Pendragon" series of best-sellers by D.J. McHale.
