Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Movie Magic
Hollywood has come calling in the form of a movie being made locally. The celluloid version of the best-seller, "Wild", starring Reece Witherspoon, is in production, with filming taking place at the Plaza downtown yesterday. The day before, crew members were busy transforming the Plaza into Ashland circa the 1990's in springtime. Changes included removing the remaining brightly colored autumn leaves on a few of the trees and replacing them with more spring-like green foliage (made of plastic).
