Not just a venue for skateboarders, the Ashland Parks & Recreation-managed facility is also used by bicyclers and kids on push scooters. Proud dad Eric Lindorf watches as his son goes airborne on a BMX-style bicycle yesterday at the park. Eric himself was a kid in California in the 1970's where the BMX (bicycle motocross) racing boom was just starting and he became hooked. Today, he owns Riders Choice Bikes, a Medford-based company that sells BMX bikes and accessories. http://riderschoicebikes.com
Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.
