Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Beeautiful Things
Revive is a store on 4th Street in the railroad district that sells used furniture and decorator items, or as their sign says, "Recycling Beautiful Things". Owner Stacy Shelley (center) chats with friends Darlene and Mark while right around the corner, bees gather around the entry to a nest on the side of the building (the dark spot on the wall). The bees are longtime residents and a sign designating their presence hangs near their nest.
