At the Saturday Growers' Market, Wild Wines, from the nearby Applegate Valley, offers free samples of their product for tasting. The wines are produced without using grapes but other fruits and herbs instead - all organic and what they call "wild crafted" - harvested seasonally by hand. The winemaker notes that historically wines from herbs and spices have been used for tonic and medicinal purposes.
