Yesterday, Ashland Food Project neighborhood coordinators like John picked up food donations for delivery to the AFP Food Bank. People leave a bag of groceries on their front porch for pick-up on the 2nd Saturday of every other month. The food is collected and taken to the Food Bank where it is distributed to those in need. The all-volunteer program has been very successful and the model has been duplicated in other cities.
