Leroy and Loretta Taylor also brave the elements to watch the Grizzlies play. Leroy graduated from Ashland High in 1966, got drafted and later became a fireman in Orange County (California) for 30 years before retiring and moving back to the Rogue Valley. Even though their kids are grown, the couple still enjoy attending the games, whatever the conditions.
Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Swingin' In The Rain
3 proud moms watch their sons play baseball in the pouring rain as Ashland High takes on Phoenix (Oregon) in a doubleheader last Saturday. Playing in less than ideal conditions is pretty much the norm during Springtime in the Northwest. A week ago, the Grizzlies had a game SNOWED out.
