Ashland High School alumnus and Kansas City Royal starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie was in town yesterday to help kick off a fund-raiser for renovation of the school's football field. Jeremy has pledged $650,000 to the project, which will replace the current grass field with synthetic turf. He addressed a crowd in the Grizzlies' gymnasium and afterwards signed autographs and posed for photos.
