Plaza Makeover

The Plaza area downtown is currently undergoing an extensive facelift. The old walkways and landscaping have been replaced with new materials.  Paving stones (or "pavers") have been set where concrete used to run and new trees and plants have been installed. The only features that have been retained are the drinking fountains dispensing local "lithia water", the information hut, a statue and the kiosk for posting flyers. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for next week and the burying of a time capsule containing paraphernalia for some future generation to dig up.
