Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Jimmie Rodgers
There were two famous musicians by the name of Jimmie Rodgers. The first became known as "The Father of Country Music" and died in 1933. The second one, and the one featured in today's "Tuesday/Tunesday" post, was born in 1933 and had his first hit in the summer of 1957 with a song called "Honeycomb". He followed that up with another one, "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine". Both are performed in this video, which may appear kinda hokey by today's standards, but exhibit his easy-going charm and upbeat melodic style that contributed to his success back in the day.
