My friend Mel takes a break from "demo" work at a house on East Main that is undergoing a fairly substantial makeover. Mel works for contractor John Jensen, who has done a number of remodels like this one. Over the years there's been a gradual transformation of older dwellings being purchased and rehabbed, a trend that has slowed with the downturn in the economy.
