Ashland, Oregon is a town of 21,000 that has a lot in common with other small towns across America. It also has qualities that make it truly unique. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, people from various backgrounds and places have chosen to call Ashland home. As a photographer, I thought it would be a worthwhile project to document the varied aspects of Life in Ashland.

Barry's House
My friend Barry started building this straw and clay insulated house early last Summer and still has a little ways to go before completion. The exterior walls still need a coating of stucco, but they need to be completely dry before it can be applied. Obviously, rainy cool weather will slow that process down. In the meantime, power and heat have been hooked up, so he's working on getting the interior done.
