This is Dan's Shoe Repair, owned by Dan Shulter, whose shop not only repairs shoes but offers several varieties of handmade Artisan shoes and boots. Dan grew up in a family that owned a shoe repair business where he helped teach shoe repair while he was attending college. He became a police officer for a few years before moving to Ashland in 1997 and then buying the shop 8 1/2 years ago. His able assistant is Dave Reichert. Dan and Dave are shown below with Cooper the cat who lives on the premises.
