Tim Church is the affable director of the Ashland Recycling Center where he has worked for over 20 years. Besides curb pick-up of recyclables, Ashland provides this drop-off point where people can bring those items as well as clothing they no longer need. Tim, an accomplished guitarist who performs locally, acts as host and caretaker of the facility, keeping it neat and organized. Another important service Tim provides, as a friend of the Jackson County Animal Shelter, is an on-site adoption service for dogs (and sometimes, cats). He has found homes for over 200 dogs in the time he has worked here. "Bruce", sitting contently in Tim's lap, is hopeful someone might show up to take him to his new home.
